There are a range of awards and opportunities available for young people:
Cadet Leader Award
An award for young volunteers to gain their first step towards leadership and volunteering in Paddlesport. The Cadet Leader awards young people who have fulfilled a number of criteria and demonstrated their leadership skills. This award will be developed to provide an introductory route to officiating.

Paddlesport Rewards Scheme
A rewards scheme is available to volunteers based on the number of hours which are completed as a volunteer - awards are given after 10, 25 and 50 hours of volunteering. The award is primarily for new and young volunteers in Paddlesport. For more information

Step into Sport Scheme
Aimed at young people aged 11 to 19 as part of their sport programme within school. Step into Sport offers young people a structured pathway into Paddlesport volunteering and creates opportunities to deliver at a local level.
Sports Leadership Awards
Awards based on leadership skills for young people aged 9 years upwards. These awards include Young Leaders Award plus awards in Sports Leadership, Community Sports Leadership and Basic Expedition Leadership.

Duke of Edinburgh
A challenging programme of activities aimed at young people aged 14 to 25. There are three levels - bronze, silver and gold. Young people involved in this scheme log their voluntary hours to gain accreditation for a number of activities. C
